Our very first trolls!

The site was “attacked” yesterday — I use the word “attacked” loosely because it was pretty pitiful, all things considered. Just some generic meme that you can only find on one or two other anonymous blogging sites. I suppose they think they’re being clever, but I’ve never really understood the mechanics behind a trollin’ spammer’s thought process, so what do I know?

Filtering them should be easy if I choose to do so, but more likely I’ll wait until they spaz out and hit the site with a ton of garbage at once. After that I’ll use the, ah, avenues at my disposal to pressure their internet service provider into “acting.” They’re nothing like /i/nsurgents or /b/tards, so they probably didn’t bother to proxy into the site for their first hit on it. :)

To super-clarify, again, for the people who never picked it up the first time, you’re only anonymous on this site as long as you don’t post anything that’s illegal in the state of California. Or spam. The troller’s spam is both, (hence me calling it spam) so it’s safety’s off, let’s rock-and-roll if they want to go there.

Another site update

Fix some bugs, add some features.

Features: every post now has its own RSS feed for comments. Sometime in the next few days I’ll be adding a feature to the site that lets you preview posts / comments before committing to them.

Bug-fixes:

* Don’t show disabled comments (whoops!)

* Sidebar borders were being shown all funny in IE, and only in IE. Is that really a surprise, though?

* Post rankings weren’t be updated properly. Well, they are now.

Feature requests? Drop them here or shoot off an email found on fearlessblogging.com/site/about

Site updated

Just recently improved the site’s sidebar: you can now view recent posts OR recent discussions. It’s also more aesthetically pleasing as well.

I’ve noticed people were commenting on week old posts, and then the conversations died off as those posts rolled off the last 10 list. To rectify that now we’ve got the last 10 comments available.

Next up is an RSS feed for each comments section, and then… well, something else that’s interesting, I hope.
